Making sense for yourself.

The world has changed dramatically over the past two decades, with advances in technology changing the way people search, share, and absorb information.

For younger citizens, the first generation of digital natives, a new age of participation has emerged online that has fundamentally reformed youth civic engagement and encouraged a range of online platforms.

The aspiration of Change Makers! is not only to enable young people to educate themselves on the issues which mean most to them through the experiences and opinions of their peers, but to provide them with the connections, resources and information they need to focus their efforts on making change happen which benefits everybody.

All within a platform which provides safe and supportive youth networking, information sharing, and a meaningful source of news, which honours the safeguarding of its users.

Change Makers was created by Joi Polloi in collaboration with Youth Work Unit (Yorkshire and Humber) and subject matter experts from the University of Huddersfield. The pilot project was funded through the Young Fund from XR Stories, based at the University of York.
